What Does the Nonbinary Gaze Look Like?
+ Nonbinary Creatives Changing the Narrative, New Jersey Stands up for Trans Kids, and Trans Anarchism
Hello, and welcome back to Positively Nonbinary!
How are you doing? I feel like it’s been a minute since we checked in.
My brain and body have been weird, almost out of sync. Or perhaps aggressively in sync in a way I don’t enjoy. In short, it feels like I’m ready for change—to grow as a writer, as a newsletter creator, and a person—but my brain and body just aren’t quite ready to meet me there. Lofty plans to start projects have been interrupted by frustrating dizzy and nausea spells.
If you ever feel like that, give me a shout and let me know I’m not alone. I think a lot of neurodivergent folks struggle with having big dreams and goals that they have to approach at a slower pace than we’d like. It’s hard for me to think of it as a disability, but often it is indeed disabling.
Regardless, I’m taking it slow (er than I would like) and I’m just happy to be back in your inbox. The supplemental will be a bit short because of all the reasons I just listed, but I do hope you take a look, because I would love to hear your thoughts.
But first, of course, the news:
